Well, after watching 4 episodes so far I can say that the season 2 of this show is much inferior compared to season 1. For example in season 1 you can feel the tension of every combat that failed to shown in season 2. Not to mention the weird story and suddenly Geralt casting and wielding a fire sword? That's too much..

I just downloaded all the episodes' .rar file of 720p.10bit.WEBRip quality. I extracted them by WinRAR. But when I previewed from e03-e08, every single of them wasn't playing in some portions(like in e03, from 00:24–04:13 wasn't playing) of the entire runtime. I can't understand whether the .rar file is corrupted or anything else. Can anyone please help me with it?
maybe you extracted the rar files individually after downloading them , it wont work.. instead after downloading all the parts , place them in the same folder and extract the first part alone it will automatically extract everything else

I think there might be an error on your side since all the files are fine and plays without issues for me. Issue can be due to partial download so check with the size mentioned
@Tharun all right. But I played the downloaded .rar file of each epispdes in both vlc player and potplayer as they support it(Without extracting) Yet, I faced the same problem.
Anyway, now I’m downloading the torrent files again. Thanks for your concern.
Dont delete the files u have already extracted, when u r going for torrent just recheck the file with ur torrent client to see if any block is missing and ur client will download just that and u will save bandwidth and time.

Episode 2 both in 2160p and 1080p seems to have an image-stutter issue playing directly from HDD to TV. No problem when playing from PC to TV. Any clue ? Others episodes seems fine.

Well. first of all, any “normal smartphone” can play 10bit videos. Secondly, OF COURSE it’s better if one link leads to the entire season but it’s a PAIN for the uploader if something goes wrong and they’ve to fix it.
Valhalla only puts up PSA’s own encodes, which are exclusively HEVC, and 10bit if the source allows. There are countless other places to get something else if that’s what you want. Are you new to the World Wide Web?
True , My Xiaomi 4A can play 10 bit videos but whenever there’s a scene with lots of space like mountains , jungle , a castle or drone view , it lags severely.

Howdy Val, thanks so much for the 4k release. I have a question on the HDR releases if that’s okay, it’s that I have a non-hdr screen and followed your steps on “UNOFFICIAL F.A.Q” to enable madVr on non-hdr screens. Everything looks a bit okay except that the video is laggy and makes CPU performance up to 100%. My setup as follows:
MB: Asus ROG Strix B350f
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400g
RAM: 16GB 3000 MHZ Dual Channel (8×2)
OS: Win10 Enterprise V1903
Video Player: MPC-BE
Any help would be appreciated.

To get the full benefit of Madvr you need a decent gpu…
Okay, will try to purchase a decent card in the near future.
First of all, if the hardware is too under-powered, all you can do is upgrade, though on the surface it looks good (GPU?). Assuming it’s borderline, shut down all other non-essential apps, especially web browsers. Task Manager can help you see anything hogging CPU or memory. If the CPU or memory is still hitting 100%, there is very little you can do. Sometimes updating the player or codecs can help. Try a different player. Also, the file should be on an onboard HDD of at least 720 RPM or an SSD.
Make that “7200” RPM for the HDD 😄, and by onboard, I mean internal. Well, I’ve started a second post, so let me add a couple more things. In the player’s video output options, you can try different renderers. You can also try experimenting with the hardware decoder and acceleration. Just remember the initial default settings so you can restore them afterwards, unless you really know what you’re doing. In Task Manager you can try setting the player to High Priority. Happy hunting.
I tried different players (MPC-BE, Potplayer, VLC and cyperlink power dvd Ultra). It looks like all I need is a decent GPU as the movie was on my SSD not on HDD, thanks a lot.
Did you try the “shutting down non-essentials” thing? But yeah, things seem to be pointing in the direction of a dedicated GPU.
Hi amoun, my reply may have come a few days late… but was going to suggest that if you’re open to other options instead of PC hardware — look into Android media players. For a fraction of the cost of a video card, you can buy media boxes with dedicated hardware capable of HEVC decoding.
I bought one from GearBest and run an HDR build of Kodi. You can also use Plex if you run the server on your PC to LAN stream.
I also have an 8 bit panel and for PSA 4k 10bit releases my 1080ti hits up to 40 percent usage. I didn’t track the performance data while playing but believe me, that much raw load has no jokes, probably apu has little to no chance to handle it. Good luck with it…

It’s an APU, and I only dedicated 2GB of Ram to the graphics card as my work as a subtitler and audiovisual translator does not require much of hardware. So, for my essential work it’s more than enough, but for watching HDR UHD content, which I never thought of before, is not enough to handle that much of raw load. Anyhow, I’ll try to purchase a proper graphics card in the near future to handle this type of movies. Thanks a lot.
2GB is reserved memory for GPU. GPU in 2400G Can use as much as it needs from your 16 GB RAM.

As you said your CPU is 100% and not GPU. so there is something else is wrong. Check which things causing 100% CPU usage in Task manager. and share screenshot here if possible.
You probably gotta do some tweak in your madvr settings, change your upscaling method, trade performance for quality (don’t worry it wont hurt too much) here’s a guide you can refer to https://wiki.mikejung.biz/MadVR.
My hardware is so much below average (i3 3240 4GB RAM with GT730 2GB) and plays 4K HDR just fine, though my monitor is only 1080p so it’s probably downscaled hence the video play smoothly LOL
I did some tweak in madVr settings as you suggested, altering image downscaling and upsacling a bit, and it actually worked fine. Since I only dedicated 2GB of my RAM to the GPU, it hits up to 85% while on full screen, but that’s far better than before. I think I’ll dedicate another 2GB of RAM for the GPU to be total of 4GB until I buy a separate decent one someday. Here’s a screenshot of PSA’s sample of The Avengers Endgame HDR 10Bit:

You don’t have to dedicate any more memory. 2GB is reserved memory for GPU means out of 16 gb only 14 gb is available for Windows OS and 2GB is reserved for GPU.
GPU is however allowed to use as much as it needs from 16GB ram. GPU can use 4GB, 8GB ram from 16GB.
You can set reserved GPU memory to 64mb and will still get same performance.
Only reason to upgrade GPU is if you need more GPU power. There is no issue of RAM in 2400G.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. In fact I didn’t need much of GPU power until I tried watching HDR movies, and as I said before my work doesn’t require much hardware than I actually have.

Or you can try Kodi, you probably heard of that, it’s a more of a media center than a simple video player, totaly free software, where it scan your movies/shows, put a metadata etc etc.
Surprisingly for me, this “Kodi” plays 4K HEVC video very smoothly, and you don’t have to do anything to play HDR, though it’s set on default and you don’t have the liberty to alter the contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc etc.
I would like to bring to the notice of @Valhalla and team PSArips that episode 3 1080p MEGA LINK shows that the file no longer exists . I don’t know if it is the same for the rest of the episodes (1080p). Kindly do take note and look into this matter .
Many other links and torrent still work . nothing to look into .
Some others also say file was removed .
